Waltine Nauta was a cook in the Navy before becoming a gofer at the White House for President Trump. Then he was hired to be Trump’s right hand man, and is accused of moving the boxes full of various secret documents so that they wouldn’t be discovered by the Feds, knowing that they were secret and knowing that the Feds wanted them back ASAP. As I type this, he is in the process of delaying the trial because he may or may not have a real lawyer ready for it. Then again, these are very serious charges so there’s going to be a lot of delays anyway. I’m more wondering how all-in he is, if he thinks trusting whoever is Trump’s legal team is really going to give him the same service. I’d get my own lawyer who in turn would likely have me take a plea deal to testify against Trump, but also I wouldn’t have worked for Trump in the first place. I’d like to think I wouldn’t!

Next up, I may take a diversion from the indictment, at least directly, and look at who the lawyers who might be the ones who are mentioned in it, but not by name. When you read the transcript of some of the interactions, it’s obvious how in over their heads they are with Trump and his lies. He flat out asks to NOT hand over documents, to pretend that they were never there, and they have to remind him of what the law is and take this seriously. Not cooperating is no longer an option to the lawyers and guess who their client is. Good luck!
