This was drawn at “WarriorCon,” a small comic book show at Main West High School in Des Plaines, IL. A good time was had. I picked up a couple issues of TMNT there.
In panel 2, I was going to have Bossbot choking Johnsontron. Hence why he has one hand off-panel in panel 1. I thought that’d be a little too harsh, I’m just against that kind of bodily harm? Yet the joke is that he’s going to chop Johnsontron up? They’re robots, what would choking do? There’s some other things I could have done – since his arm is like that, and he’s holding an ax in panel 2, why not have some kind of object like the back of the ax head barely in frame in panel 1? But, it’s something I heard some of my coworkers say about each other earlier in the week, and I wrote it down, and during downtown at the show, I belted it out.
It’s Thanksgiving holiday weekend, I have some things around the apartment to pick up and organize. Drawing has been sparse. I’m still dealing with the election results, in that I can’t believe it, but I can, and I’m wondering how dumb and awful the next four years are going to go. Plus, can I finish the Indictment comic? Should I? What’s the point, according to the news? So I’ve not been too enthused other than a couple doodles. I should make up my mind on the next comic project, as the clock is ticking for many things that I’ve been thinking about. One thing is to decide on a cover for RWC 6. Maybe I’ll work on that next week.
Have a great weekend!
