words fail me (434)

That’s a stinker.

This one hit me, just the phrase and then the idea of someone sitting at a computer trying to write code.

I’m slowly making my way through the next Mal & Dee page. I lost momentum because of a death in the extended family, followed by…video games. Not related, the video games and the death. Not helping is that the weather is turning nicer, so I want to get out and do fun outside things. Another thing that kept me out and about on the weekends was Neighborhood Garage Sales. There’s a big one every year, that seemed to get bigger and more attended and very crowd for a 4×4 block area (minimum) to the point where you couldn’t walk in any garages. So the adjacent neighborhoods announced they’d be having their own. And apparently on the same day. Unfortunately, a lot of these neighbors aren’t coordinated either, so sellers were spread out with maybe one or two per block. So when that neighborhood was no long deemed walking around, it was on to the next neighborhood. I didn’t even buy that much! I saw some handy things for artists, like a printer with an 11×17 scanner, but that’s a huge thing to lug around, and then hold on to in my apartment until someone from the local art scene wants it, which is why I’d pick it up. And I’ve not seen anyone in that group for a few months. So, I didn’t pick up much, until of course I did, like a cute tall drawer that I probably won’t use and will sit in my kitchen for a year. I did get a 5 cd changer, remember those? I’m trying to build up the stereo, I think that’s enough. Do I still even have CDs?

The state of the world is not easing any anxiety about anything, especially travel. Which is also what I’d like to do. Dunno if I can use that time to draw, since it’d be mostly driving at this point.

Anyway, hopefully we pick up on Mal & Dee next week.
