Sometimes i wonder if i’m inside my own head, and don’t see how a gag might not make sense to others. “Partner in crime?” She’s talking about robbing a bank? What else do I need to show here for a quick gag to make it work? I don’t want to have the last line “I thought we were going to a restaurant,” or switch the placement in that 2nd panel, “that’s not the kind of mask you wear to a restaurant” and she’s like “oh, we’re going to a bank.” It’s how it played out in my brain, he’s bewildered and can only repeat “bank” because that’s not what he’s expecting.
Anyway. Happy Wednesday.
